Funding global climate projects

1% of all project revenue goes straight into projects via Ecologi, diversified across carbon removal, avoidance, reforestation and habitat restoration.

The customer is always right

Especially when it comes to doing good things. During your onboarding or proposal stage, you get shown a shortlist of three climate projects hand-picked by us to align with your organisation. You choose which one we fund with 1% of your project fee.

Your website project directly funds a positive change for our planet (not to mention thanks to our low-carbon web design).

I make my own contributions too 👋

Separate from the client-funded 1% model, I also invest in climate projects via Ecologi's Climate Action Workforce scheme to help cover some of my personal business footprint through a monthly investment.

The Lumin Impact Projects programme

Each year Lumin sets aside part of its capacity for organisations creating meaningful environmental or social change.

  • Pro-bono

Charities or NGOs with minimal funding for marketing who need an online presence boost. Ideally involves at least one freelance collaborator from the Lumin Pack. We take on at least a 1-2 pro-bono projects each year, with room for more depending on capacity.

  • 25% discount

Charities, NGOs, non-profits, foundations and community organisations who do have a budget available for their marketing and online presence. These organisations understand the pro-bono projects are for organisations with minimal funding.

  • 15% discount

Social enterprises, Community Interest Companies (CICs), mission-driven enterprises and cooperative businesses with a social or environmental mission. These organisations don't fit into our pro-bono or larger discount impact projects as they usually operate on a for-profit basis.

How we choose what to support

The level of help we can offer your organisation depends on a few factors. This helps us decide on the appropriate discount or if you meet the pro-bono criteria.

  • Impact

Your organisation is creating meaningful environmental or social change. This is a non-negotiable.

  • Alignment

Your mission aligns with causes we are particularly passionate about, like climate action, nature/wildlife and sustainability.

  • Potential

The project has real potential to increase your reach and impact, but your financials are holding your website back.
